Our Practice
We are a private practice group of 5 Neurologists and 3 Nurse Practitioners practicing at 4 offices in the Finger Lakes and Rochester region. We are all board certified. We strive to use our expertise and experience to help diagnose and treat our patients who may have challenging neurological problems. We are affiliated with the University of Rochester Medical Center and Rochester Regional Health System and provide direct communication with your referring and primary care providers within 24 hours of your evaluation.
Our Providers
Justin V. Rymanowski, MD
Dr. Rymanowski completed his B.A. in Psychology at SUNY Geneseo in 2002. He completed his MD degree at the University of Rochester in 2007. He finished his neurology residency at the University of Rochester in 2011 and his clinical neurophysiology fellowship in 2012. He is board certified in neurology and joined ONA in 2012. He is the stroke medical director at FF Thompson Hospital.
Gene Tolomeo, MD
Dr. Tolomeo graduated from Hamilton College and obtained his master's degree in neuroscience from the University of Hartford. He completed his M.D. at Rutgers University. He completed his internship at Dartmouth and neurology residency at the Tufts-New England Medical Center. He finished his neuromuscular fellowship at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. He is board certified in neurology and joined ONA in 1999.
L. Allen Pardee, MD
Dr. Pardee received a Bachelor's of Science degree Magna Cum Laude in Molecular Genetics from the University of Rochester in 1996. He earned his medical degree in 2000 from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentisty and he completed his Neurology residency in 2004 and Clinical Neurophysiology felowship in 2005, both at Strong Memorial Hospital. He is board certified in both Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology.
After practicing locally for nearly 10 years, Dr. Pardee joined ONA in 2014. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Monroe County Medical Society.
Ziad Rifai, MD
Dr. Rifai completed his B.S. and M.D. at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. He completed 3 years of internal medicine residency, 2 at the University of Beirut and his final years at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He completed his neurology residency and neuromuscular fellowship at the University of Rochester. He is board certified in neurology and joined ONA in 2002. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and The American Medical Association.
Kristen Resetar, NP
Kristen completed her BS in communicative disorders and sciences at SUNY Geneseo in 2001. She worked in the pharmaceutical industry for many years prior to entering nursing school in 2011. Kristen received her BS in nursing from St. John Fisher College in 2014. Upon graduation, she worked as a registered nurse in pediatrics and behavioral health. Kristen completed her MS in nursing at St. John Fisher College in 2020 and is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Heidi Yip, NP
Heidi Yip completed nursing school at Finger Lakes Community College in May 2011. While there she received dual degrees: A.A.S in Nursing and A.S. in Liberal Arts. She began working as a medical ICU RN at Upstate University Hospital in August 2011. She completed her B.S. in Nursing at Upstate Medical University in December 2014. Heidi continued to work as a critical care RN at Upstate, going on to become and ICU float nurse where she received experience in all adult specialties. She completed her time at Upstate University Hospital in their trauma ED. Heidi completed her M.S. in Nursing at St John Fisher College - specializing in Adult Gerontology Acute Care - in August 2019. She accepted a position at Ontario Neurology Associates as a board certified Nurse Practitioner and has been with the practice since January 2020. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and previously held CCRN and TNCC certifications.
