To Our Valued Patients:

As you know our community is dealing with a novel virus, COVID-19.  At Ontario Neurology Associates your health and wellbeing are our top priorities.  We remain committed to providing you with high quality neurological care.  However, this new threat poses significant challenges to our physicians, staff and patients.

We have put in place enhanced cleaning procedures to try to minimize the risk of virus transmission in our offices.  We ask that if you are sick with fever, cough, shortness of breath or runny nose, please do not come to the office for an appointment to reduce the risk of infection for other patients and staff.  Simply call the office to let us know and our staff will be happy to reschedule your appointment for a later date.  We are waiving fees for last minute cancellations.

We are working on implementing telemedicine visits temporarily to allow the patients at highest risk to avoid coming to the office and thereby lowering their risk of infection.  We recognize that while an in-person visit is superior to a telemedicine visit for appropriate patients, telemedicine can be an adequate substitute.  Unfortunately, not all visits can be performed remotely and many patients will still need to come to the office for an appointment.

Finally, we anticipate that there will be periods in the coming weeks that we may be short staffed as our staff needs time to recover from illness, remain quarantined or care for family.  This may result in delays in routine office functions, such as answering the phone, returning phone calls and refilling prescriptions.  There may be times that we need to reschedule patients due to staffing issues.  We ask for your patience as we work together through this challenging time.

Thank you and be well.
